hello!

I'm Jessica Carlsen, a graphic designer based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with roots in Texas and a love for storytelling, good typography, and design with a little personality.

My background is in branding, packaging, and marketing design, with experience creating everything from product labels and promotional campaigns to complete visual identities. I've worked with breweries, small businesses, and established brands, and I love figuring out how to make a design feel like it truly belongs to the people and purpose behind it.

While I love working with physical design, I'm just as interested in how people interact with it. I've been expanding my skills in UX/UI design, exploring how thoughtful visuals and intuitive experiences can work together. I also have a soft spot for publishing design, where typography, illustration, and storytelling get to do some pretty fun things.

I've always believed typography can be the strongest voice in a design. Color, layout, and imagery should support the story, not compete with it. Good design should feel natural, not forced, and still look right years from now.

Outside of design, you'll usually find me reading, working on a personal project, or enjoying a good craft beer.
